THE NEXT LAP:
FUTURE OF KNOWLEDGE AND EDUCATION FORUM
Silver Jubilee Edition

The Next Lap: Future of Knowledge and Education Forum was held on March 1, 2023.
Under the distinguished patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed AlQasimi, UAE Supreme Council Member, Ruler of Sharjah and Founder of AUS, and in the presence of Her Excellency Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, President of AUS, the inaugural forum set the stage to discuss the new dimensions of technology and its effect on the education sector.
25 years of innovation and excellence in higher education
Marking AUS' silver jubilee, the forum brought together policymakers, decision-makers and high-profile speakers, including leading experts from academia, industry and government to share knowledge, insights and learn from best practices.
The event focused on research agendas that enable the growth of the university, including biotechnology, medical and biomedical revolutions, supercomputers and AI.
AUS students, alumni, faculty, staff and members of the public attended the forum and were invited to participate in discussions and learn about the latest advancements in education and knowledge as well as the profound transformations the future will bring to the education sector.
"Our next generation of alumni will enter a job market that we don’t know yet. So, to ensure they follow in the footsteps of our existing alumni, we need to equip them with core skills such as critical thinking and problem solving, emotional intelligence, collaboration, adaptability and resilience, global and cultural awareness, among other skills and competencies. This will ensure that they will continue to be the top choice for employers and will be integral in shaping the future of our communities."
Her Excellency Sheikha Bodour
bint Sultan Al Qasimi
President of AUS
