Grants Program

Non-perpetual grants and scholarships are financial aid provided for a specific, limited duration, rather than being continuous throughout a student's academic program. These awards, based on factors like academic achievement or financial need, have a predetermined time frame and may not be automatically renewable. Students should be aware of the terms and conditions, as well as any requirements for eligibility. They may also need to reapply or seek alternative funding once the specified period concludes.

For more information, please contact us at giving@aus.edu.

Non-perpetual research and creative projects funding refers to financial support provided for specific and time-limited scholarly endeavors. This type of funding is often granted to researchers and creative professionals to facilitate specific initiatives, experiments or artistic endeavors. The support concludes upon project completion. The benefactor may actively participate in shaping the direction of the research or creative project by selecting a specific issue or topic of interest in consultation with the faculty or student beneficiary. This cooperative approach not only supports the financial aspects of the project, but also fosters a shared commitment to advancing knowledge and addressing relevant challenges in a specified and finite time frame.

The motivations behind corporate giving and sponsorships in the AUS context are diverse and can include a commitment to community engagement, a commitment to fulfilling corporate social responsibility, a desire to foster innovation and research and the potential for positive brand exposure.  The AUS General Student Support Fund is an unrestricted non-endowment fund that allows donors to contribute to meeting the urgent needs of students who are in good academic standing and have demonstrated financial need as determined by the university’s financial grants and scholarships review process. Contrary to endowment funds that must be invested by the university to generate a yield that can be spent, an unrestricted non-endowment fund can be spent to address the needs of students who may face immediate financial challenges.
