IPLP, now in its eight year, has moved, touched and inspired the lives of more than 180 Iraqi young leaders. Many have reconnected with their country after a long absence, while others live and work in Iraq. IPLP has invigorated policy conversations pertaining to Iraq and given renewed hope to these leaders, inspiring them to rebuild their country. For me personally, the program has inspired me to reconnect with my country after an absence of more than thirty years. IPLP has inspired me to focus my academic research to public service challenges including finance, social entrepreneurship and youth empowerment. I am deeply grateful to all the people who made this unique program a success including the program participants, the AUS faculty members and the guest speakers.
