Our founder, His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed AlQasimi, UAE Supreme Council Member, Ruler of Sharjah and President of AUS, raised the university flag to inaugurate American University of Sharjah in Fall 1997, welcoming our pioneer class of 287 students.
The UAE flag proudly flies on campus day and night, honoring this incredible country we call home.
