Featured on the official AUS seal, the Main Building is an icon, representing our founder's vision to shape and impact society and future generations through science, education and research.
The Main Building spans a massive 360,289 square feet with its main dome soaring 38.3 meters above concourse level.
Echoing the architectural style of Capitol Hill in Washington, DC, it is one of the most beautiful architectural features on campus.
After meeting with our founder, His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed AlQasimi, Member of the Supreme Council of the United Arab Emirates, Ruler of Sharjah and President of AUS, President Carter said:
"I have never seen such a beautiful university as this."
