Main Plaza
The grand space between our academic buildings is referred to as the AUS Main Plaza.
Spanning a total of 468,122 square feet, the Main Plaza has been the venue for so many community celebrations—from gala events like our alumni reunions, staff and faculty appreciation dinners, and corporate appreciation days, to farmer's markets, National Day celebrations and impromptu student activities.
Alumni Reunion Dinner
Held under the patronage of our founder, the Alumni Reunion Dinner welcomes hundreds of alumni from all over the region back to campus each year for a spectacular evening under the stars, here in front of the Main Building.

Sharjah Light Festival
Our iconic Main Building has been a major feature in the Sharjah Light Festival over the years. The annual festival attracts throngs of visitors as major architectural landmarks around the emirate are lit up with artistically themed productions of music and skillfully choreographed light projections.
