AUS Silver Jubilee Tour

Beyond team sports, some of our most noteworthy wins have been in men’s swimming, including first place in EuroComillas Madrid Sports Tournament (2014), first place in First World Inter Universities Championships, Rome (2015), and third place in Second World Inter Universities Championships, Rome (2016).

With 13 women’s teams and 17 men’s teams, AUS athletes have represented the university in intercollegiate events in the UAE, as well as in  Lebanon, Turkey,  Italy,  Spain, Greece, Belgium and Morocco.

The AUS mascot is the Arabian leopard.

You might have seen the AUS Leopard in the opening ceremony of the Sports Pavilion and a number of other sports events over the years. 

The mascot costume was given a makeover in Fall 2022 so keep an eye out for the new-look AUS Leopard at campus events.
